For more than forty years TV-2 has held the attention of listeners throughout Europe by merging new wave, pop, and rock into a sound all its own. The Danish outfit first appeared in 1981 once its earlier lineup, Taurus, had come to an end, drawing inspiration from Talking Heads, Roxy Music, Kraftwerk, and Kliché. Steffen Brandt, who supplies vocals, keyboards, and guitar, shares the stage with Hans Erik Lerchenfeld on guitar, Georg Olesen on bass, and Sven Gaul on drums, a roster that has stayed intact since the beginning; across that span the band has issued nineteen studio albums, four live LPs, and three compilations, several of which stand out, including 1985’s Rigtige Mænd (Gider Ikke Høre Mere Vrøvl), 1995’s Kys Bruden, 2007’s For Dig Ku’ Jed Gøre Alting, and 2018’s Tæt Trafik I Herning.
