Biography
Daye Jack functions as a singer, rapper, and songwriter whose friendly yet peculiar method blends pop, rap, and R&B. He entered the world in Nigeria before growing up in Atlanta's suburbs, where he participated in choir during his early years and developed his tastes through Eminem, 50 Cent, and OutKast, who also hail from Georgia. Once he relocated to New York for computer science studies at NYU, music gained his full attention, leading to his initial release in 2014: the carefully produced mixtape Hello World, which required nearly five years of work. Under contract with Warner Bros., the major label, he put out the EP Soul Glitch in the year after that. The somber single "Hands Up" from it, which includes Big Boi, appeared on Billboard's Twitter Emerging Artists chart. During 2016, he featured on Tori Kelly's track "Expensive" while also issuing the seven-track Surf the Web, serving as an introduction to his inaugural studio album, No Data. One standout from that EP came in the form of the incisive "Finish Line," drawing inspiration from the Neptunes. Early in 2017, Warner Bros. saw the arrival of Jack's first full-length effort, No Data.
