Monte Booker, a Chicago-based producer, crafts innovative hip-hop instrumentals infused with jazz and electronic touches that underpin tracks from Noname, Smino, Saba, and numerous additional artists. Partnerships appear regularly on material issued under his own name, including the 2021 single “Ain’t Gon Stop Me,” which pairs his co-production with Kenny Beats and Reggie’s distinctive vocals to deliver a compelling result.

Born in Chicago in 1995, Booker started creating his own music during his early teens. Alongside Ravyn Lenae and Smino, he established the Zero Fatigue collective, a circle of musicians who spur one another’s creative growth. While maintaining a steady output of productions for rappers and other performers—credits that encompass Mick Jenkins, Spillage Village, Bari, Noname, and many more—he also supplied an EP for Soulection’s White Label series in 2016. He kept balancing outside production work with his own releases, among them the 2020 standalone “Backstage Pass” with Smino and indie rock band the Drums, plus the 2021 tracks “Everybody Loves You” and “Ain’t Gon Stop Me.”
