Dazzle

Dazzle ranked among multiple fleeting studio ventures indelibly shaped by LeRoy Burgess, the keyboardist, vocalist, producer, and arranger. Longtime mentor and underground disco phenom Patrick Adams handled the strings and horns, while Stan Lucas shared production duties as Burgess completed the full-length disco album for the De-Lite label in 1979. The strong album spotlighted the singles "Reaching" and "You Dazzle Me," both of which found warm favor on dance floors. Although the record did not represent the funkiest output Burgess generated across his prolific career, its uplifting spirit and exquisite arrangements have secured its status as a favorite among Burgess followers.
