Biography
Formed in 2012, the Italian pop/rock outfit Dear Jack first brought together guitarists Francesco Pierozzi and Lorenzo Cantarini, bassist Alessandro Presti, drummer Riccardo Ruiu, and vocalist Alessio Bernabei. Early on the group cultivated an online following while navigating several roster adjustments, until a breakthrough appearance on the talent showcase Amici di Maria de Filippi brought wider attention.
Capitalizing on that television exposure, Dear Jack inked a deal with Uproar Music Publishing and delivered its debut album, Domani è un Altro Film, Pt. 1, in 2014. The concise set swiftly claimed the summit of the Italian charts, logging seven weeks at number one and nearly twenty weeks inside the Top Ten. Festival dates followed, after which the band prepared its next release, the sophomore album Domani è un Altro Film, Pt. 2. Issued in early 2015, the record missed the top position yet accumulated many weeks inside the Top Five of the Italian album charts. The ensemble also took the single “Il Mondo Esplode Tranne Noi” to Italy’s celebrated Sanremo music festival.
