Sonohra

Italian pop duo Sonohra came together in Verona during the early 2000s, consisting of siblings Luca (born February 27, 1982) and Diego Fainello (born November 27, 1986), who both handle vocals and guitar. Their debut single, “Grido e Canto,” appeared in 2003 while they performed under the name 2tto; around that time they also recorded the opening theme for the children’s animated series UFO Baby. After adopting the name Domino, the pair issued the single “Come Tu Mi Vuoi” in 2006. By February 2008 they had become Sonohra and competed at the Sanremo Music Festival, where “L’Amore” earned them victory in the New Artists category. The win drew notice from Italy’s leading radio outlets and primarily teenage listeners. “Love Show” was released next and appeared on their debut album, Liberi da Sempre, a set of delicate yet melodic acoustic pop songs carrying a mild British flavor. Later that year Sonohra received the Best New Act honor at the TRL Italy Awards.
