Biography

Bridging the gritty pulse of 1970s Detroit rock and roll with the spirited drive of 1950s Memphis rockabilly, Devin's guitar rock carries a cool yet rowdy character. The Brooklyn native, whose full name is Devin Therriault, pointed to Johnny Thunders and Iggy Pop as his chief influences when he penned his earliest material in 2009 amid shifts at a shipping warehouse and promptly captured the results on a self-made demo. That recording reached Frenchkiss label founder Syd Butler, who added Devin to the roster in fall 2011 and issued the debut EP You're Mine that November. He then devoted the ensuing months to developing songs for a full-length release while sharing stages in February 2012 with tough roots rockers Heartless Bastards. His first LP, Romancing, appeared that April.
