Biography
Originating in Los Gatos, California, Dredg refined their aggressive metal approach starting in the early 1990s. The lineup of Gavin Hayes on vocals and guitar, Mark Engles on guitar, Drew Roulette on bass, and Dino Campanella on drums had already begun playing local clubs prior to finishing high school. Their first outing arrived as the self-released Orph EP in 1997. The ambitious Leitmotif appeared two years afterward and later received a reissue once the band signed with Interscope in 2001. Their first full Interscope album, El Cielo, surfaced in autumn 2002, while Deftones producer Terry Date oversaw the sessions for Catch Without Arms in 2005. A year after that came the concert recording Live at the Fillmore, with Pariah, The Parrot, The Delusion arriving in 2009.
