Die Echten

Originating from Austria, Die Echten specialize in comedic a cappella performances delivered in local dialect, enjoying widespread popularity within the country. The ensemble came together in 2000 with Stephan Gleixner, Alexander Wartha, Andy Woerz, and Patricia Simpson as its members, though Renate Reich departed in 2004. Their first major-label effort, Im Stimmbad, appeared via Sony BMG in 2004, accompanied by a DVD sharing the identical name. Nominated for an Amadeus Austrian Music Award, this release reached the Top 20 on the Austrian albums chart, leading to subsequent projects including Im Radio (2005), X-Mäs-Späschl (2005), Gretes Hits (2006), and Die Echten Retten die Welt (2008).
