Biography
Die Lochis comprise German twin brothers Heiko and Roman Lochmann, who first attracted widespread attention through their playfully irreverent covers of hit songs posted on their YouTube channel. Launched in 2011 under the name DieLochis, the platform rapidly built an audience and earned the Audience Award for “Newbie” at the German Webvideopreis Awards the next year. By 2013 the pair had begun writing and releasing original tracks, securing their initial chart entry with the song “Durchgehend Online.” Television spots, print interviews, and ongoing digital activity expanded their following, allowing subsequent singles to reach listeners in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland alike. Early in 2015 the brothers embarked on their debut nationwide tour and simultaneously wrote, directed, and appeared in their first full-length movie, Bruder von Luder. August 2016 saw the release of their first album, #zwilling, which debuted at the top of both the German and Austrian charts.
