Dikers

Iker Piedrafita fronts the punk-pop outfit Dikers as the son of Alfredo Piedrafita from the Spanish punk legends Barricada. The four teenagers Piedrafita, Iñaki Urroz, David Cuesta, and Roberto Urzaiz launched the band in Navarra during 1998. Their first release, the album A Qué Esperamos, appeared the following year on the leading Spanish punk label DRO. Although Dikers has operated chiefly as Piedrafita’s project and experienced frequent lineup turnover, the configuration had apparently stabilized into a trio by 2005. Six albums of anthemic punk-pop that alternated abrasive tracks with radio-friendly material stood to the band’s credit by 2012.
