Biography
Initially performing on the acoustic club circuit, guitarist and vocalist Peter Stuart joined the 1994 Counting Crows tour as a backup vocalist. He later accompanied Tori Amos and Cracker on the road in the capacity of solo support act, while his independently produced demo tape—obtainable at live shows—moved more than 6000 copies. Working with producer Jimbo Barton, Stuart tracked an album that featured drummer Neil Nunziato, bassist Mike Visceglia, cellist Dawn Buckhola, and violin player Regina Ballantese. The ensemble, operating collectively as dog's eye view, landed a Sony contract and delivered Happy Nowhere in 1995. The band also contributed a track to the Vic Chesnutt benefit album Sweet Relief Two before releasing Small Wonders in 1996.
