A songwriter and performer, Don Moen achieved recognition in the early 1980s through praise-and-worship material that stayed closely aligned with biblical text. Raised in Minnesota, he enrolled at Oral Roberts University in Oklahoma, where his musical abilities first developed. From the late 1970s into the early 1980s he served as a musician with Terry Law Ministries, initially handling guitar and trombone before expanding into arranging and production work.

Integrity Incorporated brought him on board in 1984 at the invitation of Michael Coleman; the company produced the Hosanna! Music praise-and-worship series. Serving as worship leader, Moen guided numerous successful entries in the catalog, among them Hosanna! Music: Give Thanks, which sold hundreds of thousands of units and became the label’s top release. He ultimately contributed to more than ten Hosanna! Music projects and issued his debut album under his own name, Worship With Don Moen, in 1992. The track “God Will Make a Way” earned a Dove Award nomination, and two years afterward he received the award for the musical God With Us. At Integrity he has functioned as creative director and de facto A&R director while also devoting substantial effort to the company’s publishing operations. In 2003 the label issued the greatest-hits collection God Will Make a Way: The Best of Don Moen.
