Biography
Formed during the closing months of 1997 in London, the English boy band Down 2 Earth emerged with a lineup typical of its era: five members including Clinton Goldsmith, Jay J Saunders, Craig Whymark, Gary Read, and De Digiovanna. Joining later than the rest, De Digiovanna replaced the group's initial fifth member who had departed in search of alternative opportunities. To build visibility, the ensemble took to stages at pubs, clubs, and radio gatherings throughout the U.K. Their breakthrough arrived in August 1999 when they secured a deal with the American label Radical Records. Following the signing, the band issued the EP Zoom Zoom to introduce listeners to their upcoming full-length release.
