Hailing from Stockton, California, EBK Jaaybo channels his focus into dense, unyielding lines centered on crime, violence, and bloodshed. Although the content remains intense, his vocal approach stays notably restrained, rarely escalating in volume. Recording began for him in 2018, yielding multiple mixtapes such as 2021 and the 2023 project Sinners Prayer, until the eerie track “Boogieman” gained traction the following year.

Born Jaymani Gorman, he adopted the moniker EBK Jaaybo upon entering EBK HotBoizz, the collective started by his cousin EBK Young Joc. His father, the rapper Rrari, introduced him to studio sessions during his teenage years. The 2018 single “Dondadda” marked an early release when Jaaybo was fifteen. “Bloodbath” and “Purge” surfaced in 2019. In 2021 he issued the projects 2021 and Letter 4 the Streets, followed by Rrari 4eva in 2022 and Sinners Prayer in 2023. After the 2024 drops “Black Bottle Boys” and “Probably Cursed,” “Boogieman” emerged as his strongest performer yet, climbing into the Top 40 of Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
