Biography
Emerging from Madrid, where Domingo Edjang Moreno first saw the light of day in 1977, the Spanish hip-hop artist drew his professional moniker El Chojin directly from a celebrated Japanese anime series. He entered the music industry toward the end of the 1990s by issuing the solo efforts Mi Turno and El Nivel Sube, after which he contributed to four group projects with 995 titled 995, II, III: Kompetición, and K2 - Kompetición II. His verses combined breakneck, tongue-twister rhyme schemes with pointed social observations, fueling an especially prolific run across the 2000s that yielded seven albums plus forays into television and film.
