Nach, whose birth name is Ignacio Fornés Olmos, grew up in Alicante after being born in Albacete and established himself as a Spanish MC. His earliest recordings were the 1994 demo D.E.P., whose title serves as the Spanish equivalent of R.I.P., followed by the 1997 demo Trucos. Three years of limited impact preceded the arrival of his debut LP, En La Brevedad de los Días. In 2003 he issued his second album, Poesía Difusa, which featured a guest appearance by Lírico from Violadores del Verso along with additional contributors. The project’s strong reception prompted the release of a DVD documenting a Barcelona concert from the same year. Spain’s Basketball Club Association commissioned him to compose and record the official hymn for the 2004/2005 season, “Juega.” Early 2005 brought his third release, the double-CD set Ars Magna/Miradas; the latter disc functions as a concept album in which each track portrays a distinct life perspective, including those of a newborn baby, a prostitute, an ex-convict, an immigrant, a blind person, a homosexual couple, individuals from varied cultures, a family facing the father’s impending dismissal, and a cab driver. Arma Blanca and Juaninacka appear among the supporting artists on the project. Signing with Universal in 2008, Nach delivered his fourth album, Un Día en Suburbia, which entered Spain’s Top Sales Chart.
