Biography
Nach, whose birth name is Ignacio Fornés Olmos, began his life in Albacete before relocating to Alicante, Spain, where he developed his skills as an MC. His earliest recordings consisted of the 1994 demo D.E.P., whose Spanish title corresponds to R.I.P., followed by the 1997 demo Trucos. Three years of limited visibility preceded the arrival of his debut LP, En La Brevedad de los Días. In 2003 he issued the follow-up Poesía Difusa, which featured contributions from Lírico of Violadores del Verso and additional guests; the album’s reception prompted the release of a concert DVD captured that same year in Barcelona. The ACB, Spain’s Basketball Club Association, commissioned him to compose and record the official hymn “Juega” for the 2004/2005 season. Early in 2005 he delivered the double-disc set Ars Magna/Miradas, the latter half of which functions as a concept album portraying individual outlooks on existence through the perspectives of a newborn, a prostitute, an ex-convict, an immigrant, a blind person, a homosexual couple, members of varied cultures, a family facing the father’s imminent dismissal, and a cab driver. Arma Blanca and Juaninacka appear among the supporting artists on this project. Signing with Universal in 2008, Nach unveiled his fourth album, Un Día en Suburbia, which entered Spain’s Top Sales Chart.
