Falsalarma

Fronted by the MC brothers El Santo and Tito, the Barcelona outfit Falsalarma ranks among Spain’s most prominent hip-hop acts of the 2000s. The siblings, whose given names are David and Angel Navarro Romero, first drew notice through a guest spot on Frank-T’s Frankattack before teaming with DJ Neas and producer Dycache Santiago to issue their independently released debut, La Revolucion del Sonido, in 1997. Once they secured a deal with the respected hip-hop imprint Avoid, the group delivered the follow-up La Misiva in 2002, then continued with Alquima (2005), Ley de Vida (2008), and Dramática (2011). Across the years each of the four members has explored solo endeavors, among them Santiago’s 2000 full-length Tacticas y Tecnicas and Tito’s 2006 release Tito Presenta...Barna Files, Vol. 1.
