El Super Show de los Vaskez has earned widespread acclaim across Mexico, South America, and select regions of the United States for its expansive big-band approach to cumbia del sureste. The family ensemble, established in 1968 by patriarch Ricardo Vasquez Fuentes alongside his sons, has over the years drawn in an extended roster of brothers, grandchildren, nephews, and additional relatives. Through subsequent decades the group incorporated fresh vocalists while preserving the signature Veracruz dance repertoire—encompassing cumbia alongside tropical boleros, chunchaka, and son—within its longstanding foundations, simultaneously reaching emerging audiences. Layered atop these elements, spontaneous individual and collective improvisation combined with an exuberant live presentation has sustained their long-term popularity.
Following the passing of Ricardo, along with sons Ricardo, Jr. and Ruben, brothers Roberto and Rolando Vasquez parted ways, with the latter establishing Los Internacionales Váskez. Across albums and compilations, El Super Show de los Vaskez has issued more than 30 full-length releases and 65 singles while maintaining an annual schedule exceeding 100 performances. Their latest project is the triple-length 3 en 1 compilation, which gathers hit tracks, B-sides, and chosen album cuts.
