Ela Taubert

Ela Taubert emerged as a Colombian Latin Pop singer and songwriter after being born in Bogotá in 2000. Music captivated her from early childhood, shaped by repeated exposure to Reik, Juanes, Shakira, and Camila. She moved to Miami in her twenties, intent on entering the music business. Social-media momentum built during the COVID-19 lockdown prompted Universal Music Latin to sign her, and the 2022 ballad “Crecer” became her first viral success before appearing on the March 2023 debut EP ¿Quién Dijo Que Era Fácil? Over the next eighteen months her profile rose sharply through a Latin American tour, a Latin Grammy nomination, and the additional singles “¿Y Si Eras Tú?”, “¿Para Qué?”, and especially “¿Cómo Pasó?”. Working frequently with producer Kevin Aguirre, she pairs confessional lyrics with the melodic pop-rock style that defined the 1990s and 2000s yet remains scarce amid the Urban-driven Latin landscape of the 2020s.
