Emblem3, the hip-hop/pop hybrid from Washington state, made its first major public appearance during the 2012 season of The X Factor USA. The lineup features brothers Keaton Stromberg and Wesley Stromberg—sons of Grammy-nominated composer William Stromberg and nephews of Academy Award-winning art director Robert Stromberg—alongside childhood friend Drew Chadwick. The three began writing songs in basements well before they entered the reality singing competition. Although they finished fourth on the program, Emblem3 secured a recording contract with Syco Records, the imprint run by Simon Cowell. Their debut album, Nothing to Lose, reached stores in 2013.
