Forever In Your Mind

Formed in 2013 during the third season of The X Factor, American pop band Forever in Your Mind originated when judge Simon Cowell assembled three separate auditionees into one act. Ricardo "Ricky" René Garcia, Jr. and Jonathan "Jon" Daniel Klaasen had competed as part of the group CO-ED, while Emery Thomas Kelly participated on his own; Cowell united them under the name Forever in Your Mind. The trio missed the live shows yet stayed together, issuing their debut single "She Lights the World" and the seasonal track "This Feels Just Like Christmas." Klaasen left FIYM in June 2014 to launch a solo career. Kelly’s cousin Liam Thomas Attridge stepped in as a temporary stand-in for a DigiFest performance and remained as the permanent third member. Although the group had already completed a debut album with Klaasen, they chose to re-record everything with Attridge’s vocals. After another holiday release, FIYM issued "Sweet Little Something," which became a Radio Disney success and sparked a Disney partnership. The band recorded "Whenever," the theme for the Disney Channel series Best Friends Whenever, which also featured Garcia and Kelly. In 2016 Forever in Your Mind released the single "Hurricane," later included on their debut EP, FIYM, that summer. The following year the trio unveiled the singles "Smooth" b/w "Missing" and "Rabbit Hole."
