Emma Pollock

Emma Pollock, who co-established the dreamy Scotland alternative rock group the Delgados as a singer, songwriter, and guitarist, joined 4AD Records in 2005 once the ensemble parted ways on good terms. For her initial solo album Watch the Fireworks, issued in September 2007, she drew upon the considerable skills of Paul Savage—her spouse and the Delgados' previous drummer—along with keyboardist Jamie Savage and Campbell McNeil, the bass player from Aereogramme. The textured and experimental The Law of Large Numbers came next as her second release in 2010, and then in 2016 Chemikal Underground put out the emotionally charged and lovingly crafted In Search of Harperfield.
