Biography
Living Sacrifice bassist Arthur Green joined forces with drummer Matthew Putnam to launch the side project Eso-Charis. Vocalist and guitarist Cory Putman plus guitarist Jayson Holmes were added to complete the roster, with the musicians first taking the stage in 1996 under the name Elliot. The resulting sound leaned far more toward alternative rock than metal, catching Living Sacrifice devotees off guard. Enough shared bills between the groups led Sacrifice member Bruce Fitzhugh to produce the self-titled debut that arrived in 2001.
