Biography
Emerging from Adelaide, South Australia toward the close of the 2000s, Fair Maiden operates under the direction of longtime scene presence Ellen Carey, whose prior projects include Birth Glow and Jemima Jemima. The group cultivated an enigmatic style that blended elements of medieval music, country rock, and '60s pop. After several years of development, they tracked their self-titled debut album featuring Carey alongside Steph Crase, Joel Carey, and Liam Kenny. Upon the record's 2014 release, the configuration had already changed, as Hamish Baird and Noah Renolds stepped in for Joel Carey and Kenny.
