Born in 1978 into a musically rooted household in Sevillas, Spain, Falete grew up with a father who performed as part of the acclaimed ensemble Cantores Hispalis. Deeply immersed in the arts from childhood onward, he secured his initial professional engagement at age seventeen, delivering a performance for La Chunga on the stage of Seville’s Lope de Vega Theatre. Subsequent appearances throughout local and national venues quickly led to extensive international touring alongside such prominent Spanish figures as Juanito Valderrana, Jose Menese, and José Manuel Soto. Throughout the mid- and late 1990s, those engagements carried him across Europe, the United States, and Japan.

Falete achieved widespread recognition in 2004 upon issuing his debut solo album, Amar Duele, whose potent vocal delivery, staunchly traditionalist flamenco approach, and exuberant, outsized stage persona propelled him to immediate prominence. The recording remained on Spanish bestseller charts for thirty-nine weeks and ultimately attained gold certification. In 2006 he partnered with Manuel Alejandro, widely regarded as the foremost songwriter in contemporary Spanish music; the resulting album, Puta Mentira (Damn Lie), achieved strong commercial results and confirmed his singular standing within the Spanish musical landscape. On the succeeding releases Coplas Que Nos Han Matao in 2007 and ¿Quién Te Crees Tú? in 2008, he continued to summon the spirit of flamenco’s historic luminaries through his signature interpretive lens. His first project for EMI, the 2012 album Sin Censura written and produced by Victor Daniel, presented his most expansive sonic palette to date, incorporating bolero and rancheras within a sweeping, fully orchestrated symphonic framework.
