Pastora Soler, the Latin pop artist born Pilar Sánchez, first stepped onto a stage for a live performance at five years old, then enrolled in formal music lessons three years after that. A pivotal encounter with producer Luis Sanz opened the door to a recording contract on a major label. Her debut project arrived in 1994 as the album Nuestras Coplas, a collection drawn entirely from the traditional Spanish folk genre known as copla. Following the releases of El Mundo Que Soñé in 1996 and Fuente de Luna in 1999—both of which blended flamenco, rumba, and rock—she shifted her focus toward pop music, with Corazón Congelado appearing in 2001.
