Biography
Blending sugary electro-pop with cozy acoustic elements, the gleaming and fashionable group Pastora crafts tunes that look ahead while remaining cozy. The ensemble's debut came via the refined pop track "Lola," performed by singer Dolo Beltrán alongside the multi-instrumentalist siblings Caïm and Pauet Riba. This successful Spanish number appeared on Pastora's 2004 self-titled first album, put out through RCA International. Returning in 2006, the group delivered La Vida Moderna, an album built around concepts that explored thirteen stories about individuals defying norms along with the mixed outcomes that could be thrilling or isolating. Accompanying the CD was an extra DVD containing thirteen "visual compositions" by Pauet Riba meant to pair with the tracks. This bold project brought the three members a nomination at the 2006 Latin Grammy Awards in the category of Best Alternative Music Album.
