La Habitación Roja

The Spanish pop/rock outfit la Habitación Roja first emerged in 1995 via their demo Play Pop, Vol. 1, which promptly secured the top spot in the Circuit Rock 100 local contest. Alongside this, the group issued a CD single that included the tracks "Celia" and "Amanecer," followed by the May 1997 release of their EP Popanrol through the Grabaciones En El Mar label. Participation in the Urban High Festival saw them supporting the local act Dover as well as the British group Prodigy, after which la Habitación Roja produced their self-titled debut album that gained traction on regional charts thanks to the song "¿Y?". Prior to their next full-length effort Largometraje, which was tracked in June and July of 1999, the Mi Habitación EP appeared in January of that year.
