Born on November 23, 1972, Antonio Orozco grew up in a working-class household in Barcelona, Spain, where he would later establish himself as a Latin pop singer and balladeer. At fifteen, a visit to Triana in Sevilla introduced him to the flamenco sounds that reshaped his path; his family, originally from Sevilla, maintained deep ties to that regional tradition. They soon moved to Osuna, still within Sevilla province and its lively music scene, prompting Orozco to pick up flamenco guitar and start backing singers for enjoyment. Before long, his songwriting ability surfaced, leading him to launch a professional performing career.

While gigging in bars and train stations, he connected with pianist and producer Xavi Perez, whose encouragement prompted Orozco to cut his own recordings. His debut solo album, Un Reloj y una Vela, arrived in 2000 under the joint production of Perez and Tato Latorre and moved more than 100,000 units. The follow-up, Semilla de Silencio, appeared in 2001 with the same production team and tripled the sales of its predecessor. El Principio del Comienzo, his third release, reached stores in 2004 and achieved comparable commercial traction.

This growing profile opened doors for shows across the United States and throughout Latin America. In 2005, Orozco joined Juanes on the latter’s tour of the Americas, an experience captured on the live video Antonio Orozco -- Tour Edition. Cadizfornia, issued in 2006, secured placement on Billboard’s Top 100 European Albums chart. His fifth studio effort, Renovatio, landed at number 25 on the Spanish charts in 2009. Two years later, D1ez marked roughly a decade of recording activity and lifted his Spanish-chart standing to just outside the Top Ten.

The 2013 album Dos Orillas confirmed Orozco’s arrival as a major commercial force. Powered by the single “Llegará,” it entered the Spanish charts at number one, held a Top Ten position for several months, and remained on the tally for more than a year; the project also registered strong results in Italy.
