Fame on Fire emerged from West Palm Beach as a genre-blurring Florida quartet whose heavy reinterpretations of mainstream pop and hip-hop tracks helped build a loyal audience throughout the 2010s. After inking a deal with Hopeless Records, the group released its first full-length album, Levels, in 2020, followed two years later by the sophomore effort Welcome to the Chaos.

What began in Orlando as a lone drummer’s series of cover recordings soon evolved into a complete band lineup of vocalist Bryan Kuznitz, guitarist Blake Saul, bassist Paul Spirou, and drummer Alex Roman. Although rooted in rock, the outfit weaves in elements of post-hardcore, metalcore, nu-metal, and hip-hop while emphasizing infectious pop melodies. Among their numerous covers, versions of Lil Uzi Vert’s “XO TOUR Llif3,” Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You,” Adele’s “Hello,” and Halsey’s “Without Me” achieved the widest reach, accumulating thousands of streams by the end of the decade. Their inaugural collection of original songs arrived in 2017 as the five-track EP Transitions. Additional high-profile covers of material by Rae Sremmurd, Panic! At the Disco, blink-182, Bastille, Lil Nas X, the Weeknd, and others kept arriving through the close of the 2010s.

Once signed to Hopeless Records, the band promoted its debut album Levels in 2020, highlighted by the tracks “Headspace” featuring Poorstacy and “Now and Forever” featuring Trevor Wentworth of Our Last Night. The lead single from the next record, “Plastic Heart,” registered on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock chart in 2022. Canadian producer and songwriter Brian Howes, known for his work with Skillet, oversaw the sessions that yielded Welcome to the Chaos, which surfaced that July.
