Biography
Hailing from the American indie rock and shoegaze realms, Feeble Little Horse fully embodies the do-it-yourself ethos prevalent in Pittsburgh's music community. This manifests both in the hazy yet direct quality of their onstage presentations and in the meticulous care plus decorative elements they incorporate during the recording process.
Guitarists Sebastian Kinsler and Ryan Walchonski established the group in 2021, subsequent to departing from a shared garage band involvement. Drummer Jake Kelley joined their ranks promptly, allowing the resulting trio to produce the inaugural EP Modern Tourism that same year. The integration of vocalist and bassist Lydia Slocum completed the ensemble, after which the complete unit navigated the underground house party performance circuit, establishing local recognition. Their first full-length release, Hayday from 2021, broadened their listener base considerably and drew interest from Saddle Creek, prompting a reissue of that album. The subsequent Girl with Fish in 2023 propelled their popularity even more, resulting in widespread performances across the United States. Such demanding activity unfortunately impacted the members' well-being, necessitating a break from concerts, though they achieved a strong comeback by the start of 2024.
