Frank McComb

Born in Cleveland on July 15, 1970, contemporary jazz singer and keyboardist Frank McComb took up piano at age twelve and assembled his first trio five years afterward. A pivotal opportunity arrived in 1991 when he was enlisted as musical director for the R&B outfit Rude Boys, a post that led to studio and stage work backing DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince; late 1992 brought a recording contract with the Mojazz imprint, followed by a 1994 partnership with Branford Marsalis on the jazz-rap fusion project Buckshot LeFonque. His debut solo album, Love Stories, appeared in early 2000.
