Girls Under Glass

Formed in 1986, the electro-industrial trio Girls Under Glass centered on vocalist and guitarist Volker Zacharias together with programmers Hauke Harms and Axel Ermes, and featured occasional live collaborators such as drummer Marcus Giltjes along with guitarists Mark Wheeler and Raj Sen Gupta. Their first recordings appeared with the 1988 album Humus, and even after Zacharias and Ermes began maintaining steady roles in the Cassandra Complex starting in 1990 the pair continued to invest significant effort in Girls Under Glass, which issued six albums across the years 1992 to 1997. Hauke and Volker additionally record under the name Trauma.
