Guido Belcanto

Guido Belcanto, the veteran Belgian rocker, first entered the world in Turnhout during 1953. He launched his musical journey by fronting Speedy King & His Feetwarmers and the Gigolo's, before launching into solo work in 1989 on the strength of the hit single "Droevig Is Deze Wereld." Cycling, his other great enthusiasm, led him to host multiple television programs on the subject while he also completed two novels. Those activities preceded a partnership with Lady Angelina, Vitalski, and Decaporgel that produced the stage production Balzaal der Gebroken Harten. In 2011 he joined the Dutch label Top Notch—then celebrated for its hip-hop roster—and delivered the Top 20 album Een Man Als Ik.
