Biography
Emerging from Long Beach, California, the punk-pop quartet the Halo Friendlies assembled in summer 1997 when singer/guitarist Judita Wignall, guitarist Cheryl Hecht, bassist Natalie Bolanos, and drummer Deanna Moody joined forces. Their self-titled debut album appeared in 1998; after Hecht departed soon afterward, Bolanos switched to lead guitar and bassist Ginger Reyes joined for the 1999 Acid Wash EP. Moody exited at the start of the new millennium, at which point newcomer Christina Theobold entered to steer the group toward a heavy rock sound, and in summer 2002 the band released its third effort, Get Real, marking its first release on Tooth & Nail.
