Hate

Emerging from Poland during the opening years of the 1990s, black metal group Hate assembled multiple shifting lineups to lay down a succession of demos that steadily expanded their local following through the middle of the decade. A more settled configuration featuring vocalist/guitarist Adam the First Sinner, guitarist Kaos, bassist Daniel, and drummer Mittloff entered the studio in 1997 to produce the band’s first domestic full-length, Daemon Qui Fecit Terram, an effort soon followed by 1998’s Lord Is Avenger. Bassist Cyrian came aboard in time to participate on the 1999 mini-album Victims as well as the 2000 release Cains Way. The collective’s initial foray beyond Polish borders arrived with 2001’s Holy Dead Trinity, a World War III records compilation that drew together material from all preceding albums.
