Headstrong

Headstrong, a modern rock band from Canada, drew their raw, potentially mainstream edge from the rock & roll strut and punk rock snarls of 311, Stone Temple Pilots, and Helmet. The group consisted of Matt Kinna on vocals, Jon Cohen on bass, Joel Krass on guitar, and Brian Mathews on drums; it first formed under the name BOMB 32 during the late '90s in London, Ontario. The band harnessed the reach of www.farmclub.com to circulate its material, which prompted RCA to take interest. Their debut single, "All of the Above," achieved notable success and earned the quartet a slot on the Farmclub stage in Los Angeles in summer 2000. In 2002 the band released its self-titled debut album.
