Originating from Marseille, where he first entered the world in 1987, Florent Hugel works as a French DJ and EDM producer. During his mid-teen years he began spinning records, drawing primary influence from iconic French names such as Daft Punk, David Guetta, and Laurent Garnier. While he steadily earned acclaim as a skilled remixer through contributions to tracks by J Balvin, Charlie Puth, Robin Schulz, and Guetta, Hugel simultaneously shaped a personal style marked by the sunlit Mediterranean elements of Balearic techno. From the mid-2010s onward he maintained a steady presence on electronic music charts, with numerous releases reaching platinum status and amassing multi-million streaming figures; the same recordings continue to fill dance floors in venues across the globe. His 2018 remix of "Bella Ciao" found a place in the popular Netflix series La Casa de Papel, and 2021 delivered a major Latin house success with "Morenita." Performing regularly as a DJ, Hugel has appeared at celebrated clubs and festivals worldwide, among them residencies at the storied Pacha and Ushuaia spots in Ibiza plus sets at Burning Man, Tomorrowland, and Lollapalooza.
