Hungry Lucy

In 1998 the Ohio duo Hungry Lucy, whose sound merges gothic textures with trip-hop, came into being when producer and multi-instrumentalist War-N Harrison sought a vocalist for a contribution to a Duran Duran tribute project. He connected with singer/songwriter Christa Belle, and the two soon began composing original material. Early recordings posted on www.mp3.com drew favorable attention, prompting the release of their debut album Apparitions in 2000. The pair kept writing and performing in their home region, resurfacing in 2003 with the follow-up Glo, an album whose brighter and more varied palette set it apart from their first effort.
