Biography
Isle of You channels the essence of '80s dance-pop into their airy, modern electro-pop approach. The project unites two longtime Swedish friends who scored a string of streaming breakthroughs that opened with 2016's "50 + 1" and culminated in the release of their first album, Party Until We're in Love, in 2019.
Elina Danielsson and Ida Johansson, natives of Färjestaden, began writing songs together at age ten and performed around their hometown throughout the years that followed. In 2014, while still in their teens, they received an invitation to cut a demo at RamPac Recordings in Stockholm; the production team chose to develop the material further, and Isle of You's debut single, "50 + 1," appeared in 2016 on Capitol in Sweden, where it quickly went viral. The next year, Sia placed the single "Bodyguard" on a playlist issued under her name. Both "Bodyguard" and 2018's "Skintight" ranked among the five previously issued singles collected on the duo's ten-track debut album, Party Until We're in Love, which RamPac Recordings released in mid-2019.
