Australian singer/songwriter Jarryd James first attracted attention toward the end of 2014 through his distinctive fusion of soulful vocals with electronic textures in R&B and indie pop. Teaming up with established producer Joel Little (Lorde, Ellie Goulding), the Brisbane native cut his debut single, "Do You Remember," which climbed to number two on the Australian pop charts after its January 2015 release. Strong support slots alongside Broods and Angus & Julia Stone soon translated into his own headline tour that spring. The follow-up single, "Give Me Something," surfaced in early summer and preceded his initial North American dates. Thirty One, his first full-length album, arrived in September 2015 and entered the Australian ARIA Charts at number two. From that project came several singles: "Do You Remember," "Give Me Something," "Regardless," and "Sure Love." Twelve months afterward, James issued the EP High, which collected every single from Thirty One alongside extra tracks, among them the collaborative single "1000x" with New Zealand's Broods. Another single tied to the album, "How Do We Make It," surfaced in 2017. He resurfaced in 2019 via the single "Slow Motion."
