Biography
Jay Gordon, a guitarist rooted in electric blues, issued multiple albums through Blue Ace whose sound prompted analogies to iconic figures such as Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan. His first release, Blues Infested (1994), earned widespread approval inside the blues world. Follow-up projects grew steadily more popular, including Broadcasting the Blues Live (1996) and Electric Redemption (1998) among others, prompting fresh parallels between Gordon and the foremost electric-blues guitarists in history. The year 2000 brought a further milestone when Gordon joined Phillip Walker for the Jaywalkin album on Blue Ace. Beyond his guitar work, he also handles production and vocals on numerous recordings issued under his own name.
