Biography
Stockholm-based house producer and DJ Jesper Dahlback has issued recordings and remixes on several European imprints, among them Svek, Drumcode, Earthtones, and the artist-run Blank label, often under assorted pseudonyms such as Persuader. Additional collaborations include Brommage Dub alongside J.L. Hutha and Sunday Brunch with Seba, as well as joint projects with Adam Beyer, whom Dahlback first encountered aboard a train bound for the 1993 Berlin Love Parade. Shortly afterward the pair established Globe Studios, and Dahlback joined producer Stephan Grieder on the single “Stay With the Machine.” That partnership gradually directed Dahlback’s attention toward deep-house production and performance; by the close of the decade he had shifted primary focus to DJ work, appearing regularly throughout the U.S., Canada, and Europe. Turbo Records of Canada subsequently signed him and issued Stockholm Mix Sessions, which Mixer magazine ranked among the standout mix CDs of 1999; two years later he followed up with Stockholm Mix Sessions, Vol. 2.
