Juan Pardo

Juan Pardo, a gifted vocalist and tunesmith, launched his musical path by performing with outfits such as los Vándalos and los Relámpagos before enlisting in the chart-topping los Brincos, widely regarded as the Spanish equivalent of the Beatles. He subsequently formed a partnership with Antonio Morales under the duo name Juan y Junior. His independent work began in 1969 through a self-titled debut album that contained the hit single "La Charanga." Across the 1970s and 1980s he additionally wrote songs and handled productions for Camilo Sesto, Emilio José, and Marisol, along with numerous other established acts. He further honored Galicia through the 1997 release of Alma Galega, while Pasión por la Vida, helmed by British Gay Wallis and Toby Chapman, earned triple platinum certification in 1999.
