Karina

Karina, a Venezuelan pop singer, launched her career in 1985 by issuing her debut album Amor a Millón under the production of Rudy La Scala. The eager young performer quickly attracted regional notice, which opened doors to later projects including the 1987 release Sin Mascara and Desde Mi Sueño in 1989. Her single "Zapatos De Tacón Alto" began ascending the charts around the same time, while she also landed a part in the TV series Alba Marina. After putting out Esta Es Mi Vida in 1993, the artist opted for a temporary hiatus. She resurfaced in 1996 with the album Renacer and simultaneously portrayed a character in the Latin soap opera Pecado de Amor next to Víctor Camara. Incorporating several dance-pop numbers, her self-titled 1998 effort featured Amanda Miguel's power ballad "El Me Mintió" along with the fresh hit "Dejaré."
