Kep1er

Kep1er emerged as a nine-member K-pop outfit assembled via Mnet’s survival program Girls Planet 999, uniting Yujin, Yeseo, Xiaoting, Mashiro, Chaehyun, Dayeon, Hikaru, Huening Bahiyyih, and Youngeun. Its moniker draws loose inspiration from German astronomer Johannes Kepler. The collective was established in 2021 through that same audition series and entered the market the following January with the mini-album First Impact. The project’s lead single “Wa Da Da” blended assorted electronic textures to claim an immediate number-one debut on the Gaon charts, while also earning the act its first music-show trophy on M Countdown before January concluded. Doublast and Troubleshooter arrived as the next two EPs before the year closed. Their fourth EP, Lovestruck!, followed in April 2023, driven by its buoyant title track. A maiden Japan tour that year preceded their initial Japanese-language project, Kep1going, released in May 2024, with the Korean full-length Kep1going On appearing one month later. Across their opening two years the group issued several singles and four EPs, Lovestruck! among them.
