Weeekly (위클리) operates as a six-member South Korean girl group managed by IST Entertainment and consisting of Soojin, Monday, Jihan, Zoa, Soeun, and Jaehee. The act entered the scene in 2020 via the mini-album We Are and secured its breakthrough with the 2021 track “After School,” whose streaming totals surpassed 200 million within twelve months thanks to a widely adopted dance challenge.

FAVE Entertainment first assembled the project in 2018 under the working title FAVEGIRLS. Extensive revisions to both roster and concept followed, compounded by the corporate merger of FAVE and Plan A that produced IST Entertainment. By May 2020 the lineup had stabilized around the seven members Soojin, Monday, Zoa, Soeun, Jaehee, Jihan, and Jiyoon, at which point the group adopted the name Weeekly and prepared for debut. Its introductory mini-album, We Are, surfaced that June behind the lead single “Tag Me (@Me).” Fans soon received the official community name Daileee, after which the second mini-album, We Can, appeared in October. Early material blended energetic and buoyant styles, showcased most clearly in the chant-driven “Tag Me (@Me),” the retro-flavored “Top Secret,” and the lighthearted “Hello.”

Additional soundtrack contributions included “Boom Chi Ki” for My Dream Is Ryan and “Wake Up” for Hello, Me!. March 2021 brought the third mini-album, We Play, whose buoyant pop hooks propelled the standout single “After School” to international visibility and the aforementioned streaming milestone. That success translated into the strongest chart performance yet for the August follow-up Play Game: Holiday, which reached number four on Korea’s Gaon Albums Chart. The ensuing single album Play Game: Awake, issued in 2022 and anchored by “Ven Para,” duplicated the number-four placement. IST Entertainment disclosed Jiyoon’s exit from the lineup in June, after which the remaining members continued as a six-piece.

Following an extended period of reduced activity across 2022 and 2023, the group returned with the digital single “Good Day (Special Daileee)” in September 2023. Its fifth mini-album, ColoRise, arrived in November and entered the chart at number eight. January 2024 saw the release of another digital single, “Stranger,” before the sixth mini-album, Bliss, emerged in July.
