Oh My Girl, a seven-member South Korean girl group, secured a lasting place in both the Korean and Japanese pop landscapes through projects such as the 2019 release Eternally and the 2020 album The Fifth Season, which fused K-pop, J-pop, and EDM into an irresistible style. WM Entertainment launched the act in 2015 and promoted it as the sister group to fellow label act B1A4, with the original roster consisting of Hyojung, Mimi, YooA, Seunghee, Jiho, JinE, Binnie, and Arin. Their first mini-album, the self-titled Oh My Girl, surfaced only months after the group’s introduction and immediately attracted a dedicated audience. Closer, the follow-up EP, arrived several months afterward, prompting a period filled with live shows and fan gatherings. In 2016 the third EP, Pink Ocean, appeared alongside the group’s first headline concert, which sold out both nights within minutes. JinE stepped away at the close of that year owing to health concerns, after which the band proceeded as a seven-piece. Three further EPs—Coloring Book in 2017 and Secret Garden plus Remember Me in 2018—preceded additional sold-out performances as the members prepared their first studio album. Growing popularity in Japan led to the early 2019 release of Oh My Girl Japan Debut Album, followed months later by the Korean debut full-length The Fifth Season. Capitalizing on that Japanese breakthrough, the group issued Oh My Girl Japan 2nd Album without delay. Their third Japanese album, Eternally, surfaced at the start of 2020, with the EP Nonstop arriving shortly afterward. In 2021 the eighth EP, Dear Oh My Girl, appeared and contained the single “Dun Dun Dance.”
